Dora Nikols is a leading PR, and social purpose specialist and public speaker who founded Social Mission in 2015. She works with a team of highly specialised communication, social media, sustainability, PR & marketing experts who help brands not only stand out but stand for something!
In 2007 she started the first values-driven PR agency, Prickly Pear PR and was known as 'the queen of green', working with certified organic and sustainable brands for over 12 years and was a founding member of Conscious Capitalism Australia.
With 20 years of PR experience focused on for-purpose brands, she knows what it takes for brands that want to grow, do good in the community and leave behind a powerful legacy.
Dora has worked with leading corporate social purpose leaders like Unilever, The Body Shop, Tamburlaine Organic Wines, non-profit organisations and aspiring start-ups who want to stand out in a meaningful way to change the world. In 2020 she was announced as the first Australian judge for The Drum's global social purpose awards.
She was inspired by Anita Roddick, the first social purpose leader who founded The Body Shop and later sold it for $1.4 billion in the 1990s. By spending most of her career working with and studying brands who do good and do well, she uncovered a powerful formula for success, purpose = profit.
Working with a senior specialist team, she helps brands uncover their purpose, create meaningful content and gain widespread media exposure and engaging content that captures their audience's hearts, minds, and emotions.
